Description
Research Professor and Head of the EGAR Group at IDAEA-CSIC. His research focuses on atmospheric pollution and applied geochemistry. He has supervised 35 PhD theses and has authored over 800 articles in SCI-indexed journals. He is a member of committees and working groups of LRTAP-UNECE, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the European Commission (EC), advising on air quality and climate directives. He received the “Rey Jaime I” Award for the Protection of the Environment in 2013 and the Spanish National Research Award on Natural Resources in 2020. He has been included in the ISI Highly Cited Scientists list from 2014 to 2024.
