Senior Scientist (Investigador Científico) with expertise in air quality, non-exhaust traffic particulate matter (PM), and source apportionment methodologies. Specialized training and research periods at CARES (New York, USA), TNO (the Netherlands) and KTH (Sweden). Member of national and international expert working groups advising on air quality. Supervisor of six PhD theses. Author of more than 140 articles in SCI-indexed journals, with over 11,000 citations. Coordinator of the recently awarded AQ-RISE project (Horizon Europe), involving a consortium of 31 European partners.
