Research group: Environmental Toxicology

PhD student since 2016 at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC). Chemist (Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB); 2008-2013 ) with a master in Chemical Science and Technology (Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB); 2013-2014). Enrolled the environmental toxicology department (Dr. Benjamí Piña´s laboratory) in 2016. He started his aquaculture PhD focused on the epigenetic footprints as exposition markers of endocrine disrupting chemicals using zebrafish (Danio rerio) as animal model. During these last years, he acquired different skills in diverse molecular biology methods, techniques and fields like quantitative PCR, mass-spectrometry, lipidomics, zebrafish physiology and development, epigenetics (DNA methylation and miRNAs). His main project is addressed to study the effects (transcriptomics, epigenetics, lipidomics, morphologics…) of different EDCs (endocrine disrupting chemicals) in zebrafish embryos. He is also an assistant professor in the department of “Department of Cell Biology, Physiology and Immunology” of Universitat de Barcelona (UB).
