Description
Associate Professor (Científica Titular) and Group Leader
I am Associate Professor and group leader of the Expo-Hum (Exposomics and Human Health) research team, specialized in environmental health. My research integrates exposomics with population-based cohort studies to investigate the impact of complex chemical exposures on fertility, pregnancy and women’s health. I have extensive expertise in the application of advanced mass spectrometry techniques in exposome-wide association studies aimed at identifying harmful exogenous chemical mixtures. I currently lead the mother-child INSULIN cohort study, based at Hospital Joan XXIII, which investigates maternal-fetal health in relation to environmental exposures.
