Marta Rusiñol Arantegui, PhD in Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology. Postdoctoral researcher at the IDAEA-CSIC. Her studies focus in water analysis and sustainable water management, more specifically in fecal source tracking tools and the evaluation of virus dissemination in the environment. At present, she works in metagenomics and molecular based tools to identify and control emergent microbial contaminants in groundwater and irrigation water. She is coautor of 24 indexed papers (15 in Q1) and 5 book chapters. She has been involved in several research projects (20), with special mention of two FW7: Metawater and Viroclime. She has presented 80 scientific at national and international congresses and conferences.
