Joaquim Jaumot (Barcelona, 1978). I am a Research Scientist at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA) in the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). I graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2001, and I obtained my PhD in Chemistry in 2006 from the UB. Also, I am a Computer Science Engineer from the Open University of Catalonia (2009). I have been a non-tenure assistant professor at the UB (2008-2012) and JAE-DOC postdoctoral researcher (CSIC, 2012-2015) before achieving the current position. I have also made stays abroad in the groups of Prof. Paul J. Gemperline (ECU, Greenville-NC, USA) and Prof. Jose C. Menezes (IST, Lisbon, Portugal). During this period, I have participated in several national and international projects (highlighting the Chemageb project awarded with an ERC Advanced Grant) in collaboration with several research groups (in particular with environmental toxicology groups from IDAEA). Currently, I am the principal investigator of a Spanish funded Excelencia project. Finally, I have supervised two doctoral theses in the chemometrics and environmental omics field.
