Eva Gorrochategui (Barcelona, 1990). I am a postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). I graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2012, I received a MSc in Analytical Chemistry from the UB in 2013 and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2018 also from the UB in and in collaboration with IDAEA-CSIC. I received two awards for best Master’s and PhD theses from the UB. I have been a non-tenure assistant professor at the UB (2014-2018) and a science teacher in some non-superior high schools before obtaining my current position as a postdoc. I have also made a stay abroad in the group of Prof. Francis L. Martin (Lancaster, UK). I have participated in some national and international projects (highlighting the Chemageb project awarded with an ERC Advanced Grant) and I have collaborated with several researchers from IDAEA-CSIC including Prof. Romà Tauler, Prof. Sílvia Lacorte, Prof. Cinta Porte, Prof. Josefina Casas and Prof. Gemma Fabriàs.
My main research focuses on the use of chemometric strategies in LC-MS omic studies (mainly lipidomics) for the study of pollutants’s effects in environmental model organisms. Currently, I am also using different multivariate data analysis strategies for the study of air pollution.
