Cristina Valhondo González
Research group: Groundwater and Hydrogeochemistry
Cristina Valhondo is a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Her main research areas of interest include the biogeochemical processes related with the degradation of emerging compounds from the water, and the application of low energy consuming technologies to improve water quality and increase groundwater resources. Her work focuses in the enhancement of artificial recharge of aquifers through reactive barriers to promote biodegradation and sorption of emerging organic compounds.
