Research group: Chemometrics
Bernat Oró-Nolla obtained his BSc in Chemistry at University of Barcelona (UB). After, he undertook an internship at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim (Norway) for his MSc in Analytical Chemistry (UB) dealing with the effects of emerging contaminants in predatory species using UPLC-MS/MS techniques. Nowadays, he is pursuing his Ph.D at IDAEA-CSIC in the Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Sciences programme from UB. The subject of his thesis is to develop and validate methods based on GC and LC coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) to determine persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and emerging contaminants in avian wildlife and evaluate their environmental effects.
