Andrés Martínez Bilesio graduated in 2018 in Biotechnology by National University of Rosario (Argentina). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Chemistry at PLABEM-IBR-CONICET in Rosario (Argentina), and doing a research internship at IDAEA-CSIC in Barcelona (Spain) with a grant funded by Carolina Foundation and Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB).
He works in the study of the metabolic changes induced in obese patients undergoing bariatric surgery, through combined experimental methodologies and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). The use of advanced chemometric methods for data processing will allow to obtain information on the evolution and remission of comorbidities associated with obesity. Additionally, different strategies for the metabolomic analysis of biofluids will be reported.
