Xavier Querol recieves the National Research Award 2020

The Ministry of Science and Innovation has given ten National Research Awards 2020. These awards represent the most important recognition of Spain in the field of scientific research.
Xavier Querol, researcher at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) has won the National “Alejandro Malaspina” Award, in the area of Natural Resources Sciences and Technologies. For his leadership in the development of technologies, methodologies, models and scientific contributions to understand the importance of aerosols and their interaction with pollutants and human health, translating the scientific knowledge into policies that ensure public and ecosystem health. In addition to these merits, the jury has highlighted his significant capacity for collaboration in multidisciplinary teams and the remarkable application that its scientific production has had at international levels.
