European cities opt for more restrictive air quality limits than those set by the EU

The study, led by the researcher Mar Viana from IDAEA-CSIC, has analysed the challenges faced by 10 European cities regarding the improvement of air quality in the period 2013-2018. The work shows that some of the cities plan to reach the levels of contamination set by the World Health Organization, more restrictive than those set up by the European Union.
