Researchers from the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), the department of Maths of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) have designed a web to compare epidemiological indicators on the COVID-19 epidemic, globally.

The app uses official data updated daily by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), to calculate and display the main epidemiological indicators.

“The new tool, an extension of the Covid19-Tracker online program to follow the evolution of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic in Spain, allows comparing epidemiological indicators between countries on the current date or from date 0 of the epidemic in each country”, explains Aurelio Tobías from IDAEA-CSIC.

It is a useful tool for for the scientific, medical, media and citizen communities. The app is free and open to access in this web: https://ubidi.shinyapps.io/covid19global/
