Agencia Estatal - Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas - CSIC

The CSIC is the largest public research body in Spain. It plays an active role in the science policy of all the autonomous regions through our centres across Spain. As a multidisciplinary body we cover all fields of knowledge, from basic research through to advanced technological development. We are organised into eight scientific and technical areas. Al-Quds University

Al-Quds University is the result of the merging in 1984 of three institutions of higher education under the Palestinian Authority. Nowadays Al-Quds University is a comprehensive university, and is the only Palestinian University to offer full medical training. Initiatives of distance learning were developed over the last years to have access to students in remote areas including Gaza and the refugees camps.

ANIMA Investment Network

ANIMA Investment Network is a multi-country cooperation platform for economic development in the Mediterranean. The ANIMA network (www.anima.coop) gathers 65 governmental agencies and international business, innovation and financing networks. The objective of ANIMA is to contribute to a better investment and business climate and to the growth of capital flows into the Mediterranean region. The ANIMA network is operated from Marseille (France) by a team of 12 people and is chaired by Mr Noureddine Zekri, Director of the FIPA (Tunisia). The majority of its funding comes from the management of European Commission’s programmes.

Centre de Recherches et des Technologies des Eaux - CERTE

The “Centre de Recherches et Technologies des Eaux, CERTE” was created in 2005 from the evolution of the "Institut National de Recherche Scientifique et Technique" instituted in 1983 to four research centres. CERTE is one component of the Borj Cedria technopark. Today, CERTE is composed by three research laboratories:

  • Wastewater treatment and recycling
  • Geo-resources and
  • natural water treatment.

 

Conference des Regions Periferiques Maritimes d'Europe - Association CRPM

CRPM brings together some 160 Regions from 28 States from the European Union and beyond. Representing almost 200 million people, the CRPM campaigns in favour of a more balanced development of the European territory. It operates both as a think tank and as a lobby for Regions. Through its extensive network of contacts within the EU institutions and national governments the CRPM has, since 1973, been targeting its action towards ensuring that the needs and interests of its Member regions are taken into account in respect of policies with a high territorial impact.

Conseil National de la Recherche Scientifique - CNRS

The National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS) is a national public institution, which, since its establishment by law on 14 September 1962, has been entrusted with a double mission: the first advisory, the second executive. Reporting to the Prime Minister, the CNRS is an autonomous office directed by a Board of Directors and managed by a Secretary General. The consultative mission of the CNRS involves the formulation of guidelines for national scientific policies aimed at enhancing the development of the country.

Deutsches Zentrum für Luft und Raumfahrt EV - DLR

The Project Management Agency (PT) of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) assists the BMBF in planning and implementing a wide range of national research programmes in various thematic areas. It provides direct services to the Ministry and administrates BMBF funding to German higher education and public research institutions as well as private companies. The International Bureau of the BMBF (IB) is part of the Project Management Agency.

Institut Agronomique et Veterinaire Hassan II - IAV

The Hassan II Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (IAV) is a multidisciplinary polytechnic centre for biological and earth sciences and technologies based on an integrated system for high education, training and scientific research to serve agricultural and rural development. It has developed high agricultural research capacities covering all fields of agricultural research and natural resources including agronomy, horticulture, veterinary medicine, food industry and nutrition, topography, rural equipment, and environmental research.

Institut de Recherche pour le Developpement - IRD

The IRD is a French research institute which, working with Southern partners, addresses international development issues. The aims underpinning all its work are to improve health, understand how societies are changing and protect the environment and natural resources, with a view to achieving the global Millennium Development Goals. It is a public sector research establishment reporting to the French ministries responsible for research and for foreign office.

Instituto Agronomico Mediterraneo Bari - IAMB

The CIHEAM (Centre International Hautes Etudes Agronomiques Mediterraneennes) is an intergovernmental organization including 13 Mediterranean member countries: Albania, Algeria, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey. The IAMB (Istituto Agronomico Mediterraneo di Bari) is the Italian based Institute of the CIHEAM and it was founded under the aegis of the OECD and the European Council on May 21, 1962.

Matimop, Israeli Industry Center for Research & Development - ISERD

ISERD is an inter-ministerial directorate, established by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Council for Higher Education, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. ISERD was established to implement the RTD cooperation between the EU and Israel. This cooperation is based on a formal association agreement.

Ministere de L'Enseignement Superieur et de la Recherche Scientifique - DG-RSDT

DG-RSDT (Direction Générale de la Recherche Scientifique et Du Développement Technologique) is a public administration under the auspices of the Algerian Ministry of High Education & Scientific Research. It has been created in August 2008 by national decree. It has a national mission as stipulated in the scientific research law (08-05) published in 23rd February 2008. DG-RSDT is in charge of the setup and the implementation of the national five year research program (2008-2012) that covers 34 National Research Programs (PNR).

Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche Scientifique et de la Formation des Cadres, Direction de la Technologie - MESRSFC

Former FP7-INCO.Net-MIRA Deputy Coordinator, the Direction of Technology aims at promoting the technological development and innovation in Morocco by implementing different programmes and incentives to encourage the valorization of research result, and also the links between the academic and private sectors.

Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - TESR

MHESR is responsible and supervise the National programmes on Scientific Research and coordinate the National Contact Point for the FP7 INCO Programme. Through a specific research Directorate General, they support the execution of the research programmes inside research laboratories and units, softening the procedures outlining the use of allocated funds to scientific activities of these structures.

Office of the Primer Minister of Malta - MCST

The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) has, since 1988 been mandated by the Government to act as the national focal point for science and technology policy and has been responsible for identifying and addressing major science and technology challenges and issues of strategic importance for Malta, thereby contributing to the development of coherent and sustainable policy visions and initiatives.

Sekem Develoment Foundation - SEKEM

SEKEM Development Foundation (SDF) is a private non-profit non-governmental organisation founded in 1984. In 2003, SEKEM established Heliopolis Academy for Sustainable Development (HA) to improve Egypt's capacity to conduct, publish and disseminate relevant social and scientific demand driven research in areas related to sustainable development, such as medicine, phyto-pharmaceutical industry, biodynamic/ organic agriculture, food technology and social sciences.

Turkiye Bilimsel Ve Teknolojik Arastirma Kurumu - TUBITAK

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) is the umbrella organization for the National Contact Point system in Turkey for the Sixth EU Framework Programme. Founded in 1963, TUBITAK is the supreme organization put in charge of promoting, developing, organizing and coordinating research and development in the fields of exact sciences in Turkey in line with the national targets of economic development and technical progress.

Unimed Unione delle Universita del Meditteraneo Associazione - UNIMED

UNIMED, Mediterranean Universities Union, founded in the early 90s, is an Association of Universities from countries in the Euro-Mediterranean basin. UNIMED‟s main aim is to develop scientific and educational cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region, in order to contribute to the process of integration between the two Mediterranean shores.
