The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) is looking for a PhD student to develop machine learning algorithms applied to deep geothermal energy in the context of the project GeotermIA (MMT24-IDAEA-01, Programa Momentum).
The selected person will work on the development of neural network algorithms applied to geothermal applications. Specifically, you will develop a database of geothermal data to train the AI models and adapt machine learning algorithms to the necessities of geothermal energy production.
What we are looking for
- Qualifications:
Degree in physics, mathematics, civil engineering, engineering sciences, or a related discipline. - Professional experience:
Previous experience in programming is a plus - Competences:
Professional-working proficiency level in English.
Interest in collaborative multi-disciplinary research.
Skills in programming and scientific software are a plus.
Working conditions
- Contract duration: 4 years (48 months)
- Estimated annual gross salary: the successful candidate will receive salary in accordance with the CSIC level “Titulado Superior FCI” (around 39,000€/year). The exact salary will be confirmed upon appointment.
