The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) is looking for a PhD student to study the occurrence of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in the environment. The researcher will use target, suspect and non-target analytical tools to investigate the presence of CECs in different environmental compartments, in combination with sewage-based epidemiology, environmental risk assessment, and prioritization approaches, to give response to different questions raised in the frame of various national/international projects/contracts related to the contamination of the environment and the diverse human lifestyles.
The candidate must hold an MSc in chemistry, pharmacy or environmental sciences, and research experience in analytical chemistry.
High level of English and Spanish required.
Working conditions
- Contract duration: 3 years (with possible extension)
- Estimated annual gross salary: €23,750
- Target start date: April 2024
