The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) is looking for a project manager to work with the primary objective of providing comprehensive support and management services to IDAEA Principal Investigators to enhance research potential and output by attracting European and international competitive funding through project idea identification, in depth knowledge of the funding ecosystem, project proposal preparation and implementation of innovation and knowledge transfer initiatives.
The selected person will be responsible for the expansion of research activities within the institutes by attracting international, public and private funds, the follow-up and detailed analysis of the European and international funding frameworks in line with the capacities and interests of the research groups of the institute, among other tasks.
What we are looking for
- Master ‘s degree or PhD in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Pharmacy or Physics
- Some experience or knowledge in performing functions similar to those of the position offered.
- Fluent in English; Spanish and Catalan is a plus (other languages are a bonus). Dynamic, highly motivated, creative and proactive person with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team from different scientific disciplines.
Working conditions
- Contract duration: Three years, with the possibility of further extension depending on the success achieved in attracting funding.
- Full-time schedule of 37,5 hours per week
- Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience
- Possibility of remote work 1 day per week
- Target start date: as soon as possible (ideally September 2024)
