The Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) is seeking candidates to prepare an excellent and highly competitive project proposal for the ERC (Starting or Synergy Grant) 2026 Programme. ERC (European Research Council) grants offer attractive, long-term funding that empowers outstanding Principal Investigators and their research teams to pursue ambitious, cutting-edge research. ERC-funded projects are expected to push the boundaries of knowledge and serve as a bold, inspirational benchmark for frontier research throughout Europe.
What do we offer?
- 5,000 euros to the selected candidates to fund a set of external resources during the proposal writing phase (graphic design, draft review) and guidance for step 2 interview preparation.
- Full administrative assistance for the ERC application.
- Competitive researcher contract during the ERC project when conceded (75,000 – 115,000 euros/year)
