Description<\/h3>\n

ATMO ACCESS offers Transnational access to the BCN-Cluster. The Barcelona ACTRIS station combines measurement capabilities satisfying the requirements of ACTRIS National Facilities for aerosol in-situ and aerosol remote sensing in an urban site, creating an aerosol observational supersite. The TNA is jointly provided by CSIC (aerosol in-situ) and UPC (aerosol remote sensing) in facilities located at 300 m of each other.<\/p>\n

Barcelona Cluster -BCN – (CSIC-UPC) Atmospheric Research network is a unique infrastructure for atmospheric research located in NE Spain. It is integrated by a cluster of three observational platforms for atmospheric aerosols: Barcelona (BCN, Urban background, 78 m a.s.l.), Montseny (MSY, Regional background, 720 m a.s.l.) and Montsec (MSA, mountain site, 1590 m a.s.l.).
\nThe call is addressed to researchers or research teams from outside Spain.

\nATMO-ACCESS project (from the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme) address the needs for developing sustainable solutions based on the principles of open access and to develop guidelines and recommendations for governance, management and funding for efficient and effective access provision suited to distributed atmospheric RIs. This project investigates the most suitable mechanisms that could lead to the sustainable provision of access to atmospheric research infrastructures.<\/p>\n

Objectives<\/h3>\n

\u2022 to provide coordinated open physical, remote and virtual access to state-of-the-art facilities and services in atmospheric RIs and further enhance their range of products, capabilities and accessibility for a wide range of users, including the private sector
\n\u2022 to engage facilities and their national stakeholders and direct them towards improved harmonisation of access procedures across the different member states, while also exploring modalities by which the use of atmospheric RIs can be further enhanced
\n\u2022 to explore and test new modalities of access that build on the complementarity and synergies among atmospheric RIs and respond to the evolving needs of users in relation to training, research and technology development, innovation and data services
\n\u2022 to identify the most suitable conditions for establishing sustainable access procedures across the EU for distributed atmospheric RIs, involving national and international stakeholders.<\/p>\n
