IDAEA contributes to the new WHO global air quality guidelines

The new report updates the knowledge on the effects of poor air quality on human health and provides safe and evidence-based thresholds. IDAEA researchers Xavier Querol and Aurelio Tobías, have been part of the reviewing and development groups.

EXPOQUIMIA 2021: IDAEA presented two devices to analyse and remove water pollutants 

Researchers Víctor Matamoros and Silvia Lacorte participated in EXPOQUIMIA 2021, the International Chemistry Event, where they showed their sustainable solutions to analyse and remove pollutants from water. 


The CSIC4Girls project finishes celebrating an open science day for kids

More than 40 children came to the institute to celebrate the last event of CSIC4Girls, a project devoted to promoting scientific careers among primary school female students.

12 años estudiando los contaminants orgánicos persistentes

Desde 2009, el equipo de Silvia Lacorte, en colaboración del Parque Nacional das Illas Atlánticas, ha estado estudiando los contaminantes orgánicos persistentes encontrados en este Parque Nacional de Galicia. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar la presencia e impacto de estos compuestos e implementar medidas de acción para la conservación de áreas naturales protegidas.
