Launch of the Food, Energy, Environment and Water (FE2W) Network

UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (IHP) and the Australian National University (ANU)-UNESCO Chair in Water Economics and Transboundary Water Governance are organizing the official launch of the Food, Energy, Environment and Water (FE²W) Network on 26 November 2014, 15h, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. About one-third of the world's population lives in countries that are experiencing water stress.

Third funding cycle of the IRENA/ADFD Project Facility

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is pleased to announce the opening of the third funding cycle of the IRENA/ADFD Project Facility. The deadline for applications is 18 February 2015 (17:00 Gulf Standard Time). Applicants need to register and apply online. The Project Facility is now offering lower loan rates for all cycles. The IRENA/ADFD Project Facility is seeking renewable energy projects in developing countries that are innovative and have the potential to be models for replication and scale up.

Global Forum on Environment - New perspectives on the Water-Energy-Food-Nexus

The OECD Global Forum on Environment on the topic of “New Perspectives on the Water-Energy-Food Nexus” will be held on 27-28 November 2014 at the OECD headquarters in Paris. This Forum will provide a platform for senior policy experts, private sector leaders and government officials from OECD and Partner Countries to explore how countries can align policy goals to address water, energy and food reforms in a more coherent way. The Forum will be held over two days and will discuss four areas that can contribute to more integrated policy making in this domain:
