Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2014 and 2015 has been launched

For the first time, the Commission has indicated funding priorities over two years, providing researchers and businesses with more certainty than ever before on the direction of EU research policy. Most calls from the 2014 budget are already open for submissions as of today, with more to follow over the course of the year. Calls in the 2014 budget alone are worth around €7.8 billion, with funding focused on the three key pillars of Horizon 2020:

13th edition of the FEMIP Conferences

Organised in Brussels, Belgium, the 10th December, 2013 in the Thon Hotel EU, by the EIB, in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean and the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie, the thirteenth edition of the FEMIP Conferences brought together 250 participants from Europe and the Mediterranean countries to discuss actively how energy efficiency can improve a country’s overall competitive position and create employment opportunities.

Collège doctoral maghrébin en Energies Renouvelables

L’Agence universitaire de la Francophonie lance un appel à candidatures pour le collège doctoral maghrébin en énergies renouvelables. Ce collège doctoral a pour objectif de contribuer à la formation, à la recherche et aux activités de recherche d’une trentaine de doctorants maghrébins. The Water for Life Decade’s Office launches a monograph on "Water cooperation"

On the occasion of World Toilet Day on 19th November, the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations and the Water for Life Decade’s Office launched today in New York a monograph on "Water cooperation". The monograph "Water cooperation", produced in collaboration with the World Council of Civil Engineers and Aquae Foundation, summarizes United Nations contributions and key experiences on water cooperation.

Euro-Mediterranean inter-institutional and stakeholders workshop - ERANETMED project

An Euro-Mediterranean inter-institutional and stakeholders workshop is organised by ERANETMED in Athens on 27 February 2014, during the Greek Presidency, hosted by the General Secretariat for Research & Technology. More than 30 institutions are expected to participate in the event, including funding agencies and stakeholders (universities, research centres, associations and other governmental institutions) from the EU and Mediterranean countries.
