Stakes and perspectives of transmediterranean scientific research

New Horizons / New Challenges: evaluation of STI policies, instruments and organisations

On 14th and 15th November 2013 the international evaluation conference "New Horizons / New Challenges: evaluation of STI policies, instruments and organisations” was organised in Vienna, Austria. It provided an open forum for evaluators, scientists, research managers, authorities and STI policy makers to debate challenging developments in STI policy and their effects on evaluation theory and practice.

EU-Africa High Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) on science, technology and innovation (STI)

Senior officials from the European and the African Union Commission and from Research and Innovation Ministries in Europe and Africa discussed on future cooperation on STI between the two continents in the "EU-Africa High Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) on science, technology and innovation (STI)" meeting, in Brussels (Belgium) from 28th to 29th November 2013, also in view of the EU-Africa Summit 2014. At this year's meeting a special focus will be put on the role of STI in promoting food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture.

The First Economic Forum of the Western Mediterranean (Dialogue 5+5), which took place last 23rd October 2013 at the headquarters of the Union for the Mediterranean, brought together more than 300 participants from the ten countries of the 5+5 Dialogue.

The Joint Managing Authority and the Joint Technical Secretariat of the ENPI-CBC-MED Programme have prepared two brochures aiming to tell the story of "a Mediterranean which cooperates".
