FACCE-JPI adopts new priorities to solve the challenges of sustainable agriculture

Solutions, methods and tools developed in and for Europe are, therefore, relevant at a global scale. The Joint Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE-JPI) identifies innovative solutions applicable at the European scale down to the local level and supports European policies and initiatives.

To advance this support, FACCE-JPI has updated its Strategic Research Agenda (SRA), setting out clear policy-relevant research priorities on agriculture, food security and climate change in Europe, and listing the strategic actions involved to achieve these goals and align current and future national research programmes. In the SRA, FACCE-JPI incorporates new knowledge and emerging European and global issues, and takes into account the international agendas on Sustainable Development Goals and Climate.

To achieve these priorities, FACCE has adopted an Implementation Plan with joint actions for the period 2016-2018.
