Japan is a global model for healthy diets, FAO Director-General says

Graziano da Silva noted how Japan has a healthy and "unique" food culture, one that includes many vegetables, fruits and fish. He cited Washoku, a comprehensive set of skills, knowledge and traditions relating to the preparation and consumption of food, which has been designated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

FAO and World Bank step up partnership to end hunger and poverty

FAO and the World Bank are strengthening their cooperation to end hunger and poverty at global and national levels. The two organizations will work closely together to support the member countries in meeting the SDGs, improve rural livelihoods, enhance efficiency of food production, and ensure sustainable management of natural resources worldwide.
