Work packages

The proposed work programme is based on the organization of topical Expert groups, Courses, Technical Conference and Centralised information facility. These typical co-ordination activities and tools will be used to facilitate horizontal linking of clustered proj ects; and communication, dialogue/exchange of information, dissemination and promotion of future RTD and networking activities at international, as well as, regional level.

The project aims will be achieved by means of a series of specific work packages (WP). The work will involve the development of interdisciplinary teamwork to identify the main research needs and the most appropriate approaches to accelerate the development and application of advanced technologies for wastewater and sludge treatment and re-use of reclaimed waters in the Mediterranean area.

Workpackage 1: Contaminants in the water cycle
Main activity: set up of the expert group 1, organization of horizontal linking of INNOVA-MED projects working on the subject

Workpackage 2: Advanced technologies for wastewater and sludge treatment
Main activity: set up of the expert group 2, organization of horizontal linking of INNOVA-MED projects

Workpackage 3: Re-use of reclaimed water and sewage sludge
Main activity: set up of the expert group 3, organization of horizontal linking of INNOVA-MED projects

Workpackage 4: Constraints of application of advance treatments and re-use of reclaimed water
Main activity: set up of the expert group 4, organization of horizontal linking of INNOVA-MED projects

Workpackage 5: Integrated management of wastewaters in the Mediterranean area
Main activity: set up of the expert group 5, organization of horizontal linking of INNOVA-MED projects

Workpackage 6: Capacity building and dissemination
Main activity: Organization of INNOVA-MED courses and the INNOVA-MED Conference

Workpackage 7: Coordination and management
